They will deny your claim.
I have been with The General for a year and a half now, paying all the premium religiously. I recently hit a curb when turning into a parking lot, damaging a transfer case.
They refused to covered, saying that it is a mechanical issue, and not caused by the impact.
The DOAN Group which is the appraiser they partner with, is terrible as well. With limited knowledge, the guy name Nick Narroth said because there is no damage to the tire or suspension, the impact caused by hitting the curb can't damage the transfer case. There are a lot of case out there in which the transfer case is indirectly damaged by hitting an object.
This company is a fraud.
Stay away from them, go somewhere else. They will find ways to deny your claim.

Worst insurance company
I got the run around for almost a year after switching insurance companies. I canceled with the general and they still tried to bill me.
So I contacted them and they said they'd fix it and back date is once I sent them proof of my new insurance, which I did. Come to find out later on that it got sent to collections. Apparently I somehow still owed $66 due to when I changed policies, which had I ever known that or recieved a bill for that I would've payed instead of it going to collections and messing with my credit. So I payed that and she said after I did that it'd be taken out of collections.
So then I check a week later and it's still in collections, so I call back and they're telling me I still owe them $90.
Apparently they sent the original bill that was supposed to be back dated to collections so I'm stuck paying a bill I should've never had that got sent to collections that I never got a notice for! Absolutely ridiculous!
They suck

Why do veterans think they're exceptions to rip offs, rudeness, false advertising, over chargingcharging, unexpected things! Wars are from politicians.
They improve nothing. So excuse me if real life of being maltreated by a company like everyone else seems to be such a surprise!
